A gallery of images of trees and woodlands, most taken withing a few miles of the village where I live. Many of these trees I revisit each week, some daily. I often like to composite images of trees and landscapes taken over many visits to create portraits of the trees and woods throughout the seasons. Some of these images will comprise of layers taken over many years. The local woods are predominantly beech, overstood hazel coppice, stands of oak and conifer plantations on ancient woodland soil. In spring they are host to a myriad of spring flowers including bluebells, wood anemone, wood sorrel, yellow archangel and wild garlic.
