This gallery features botanical wet cyanotypes. I collect most of my leaves and flowers from my garden and on walks in the local woods and fields. I also like to using skeletal bodhi leaves as they remind me of my teenage years in India. We used to buy bodhi leaves painted with miniature scenes, animals and plants, mounted on cards. The variations in the colours comes from the use of different papers, exposure times, the addition of spirit vinegar and varying the ratio of the two cyanotype chemicals when mixing the light sensitive solution. These prints are available as greetings cards from the shop in the menu above.
