Water Lilies wins RHS Gold medal

I’m excited to share that yesterday I discovered my Water Lilies photographic portfolio has been awarded a gold medal at the RHS Botanical Art & Photography show. The show is being held at the Saatchi Gallery, Kings Road, London and is free to enter this year, so do visit if you’re nearby.

It’s an honour to have my work hanging in the gallery and alongside imagery from amazing artists and photographers. My favourite photographic portfolio in the exhbition is by Hugh Milson, who has created the most exquisite images of Olive trees. Also a joy was meeting the talented Tony North who’s work I have long admired and have now had the pleasure of seeing in person.

Another memorable moment was discovering that one of the gold meal botanical artists, Pauline Brown, also exhibiting lives just 3 miles away in a neighbouring village! Her watercolours of trees are beautiful, I was particularly taken by her painting of a Blackthorn bedecked in lichens.

The images in this series are available as greetings cards. If you would like a limited edition fine art print from this series please get in touch via the contact page.

Thanks, Jo x

If you can’t visit the show, you can see the artists work on the RHS website.
